EVS Customer Portal. Booking and service tracking for a UAE EV service network.

Digital Cubic designed and built the EVS customer apps and staff portal for Electric Vehicle Services: Arabic-first apps for iOS and Android, a web portal for staff, and integration with EVS's workshop system. Launch-period figures: these numbers cover only the app's first days after release (4 to 18 October 2026), not its current totals.

The situation

What the network needed.

Derived from how EVS operates: many service locations, one customer base, and customers who expect to book from the phone.

  • A network, not a single workshop

EVS (Electric Vehicle Services) looks after electric and hybrid vehicles through its own service centres and partner stations across the UAE. A customer may use any of them, so booking, vehicle details and service history need to be the same everywhere.

  • Booking depended on a call or a visit

Without an app, a customer has to phone or walk in to book, and the front desk re-enters the vehicle and service details by hand. Outside working hours, nobody is there to take the booking.

  • Customers could not see their own vehicle's history

Service milestones, warranty activation and the next service due are the questions owners ask most. Answering them one by one at the counter takes staff time away from the customer in front of them.

  • Arabic first

Many customers prefer Arabic. The app had to be Arabic-first, with English alongside, rather than an English product with an Arabic layer added later.

Launch figures

The launch period.

Launch-period figures: these numbers cover only the app's first days after release (4 to 18 October 2026), not its current totals.

  • 3,642

customers joined the app during the launch period

  • 3,305

cars added, 2,563 of them read automatically from the registration card

  • 2,433

services booked, every booking passed into the workshop system

  • 2,415

customers used the app in the last 7 days of the period

  • 31%

of bookings were made after working hours, between 6 pm and 6 am

  • 99.97%

of 531,241 app requests were answered without a server error (request success rate, measured by Azure monitoring; not an uptime figure)

customers use the app in Arabic

What we delivered

From the customer's phone to the workshop.

  • Customer apps

Branded iOS and Android apps for EVS customers, Arabic-first with English, built with Flutter.

  • Sign-in

Mobile-number sign-in with a one-time SMS code, with optional face or fingerprint unlock.

  • Service booking

Customers choose a branch, a service type and an available slot. The booking reaches the workshop system.

  • Vehicles

Vehicle records linked to the plate, with the registration card scanned instead of typed.

  • Service history and milestones

A service booklet with time and distance milestones, and reminders before a service falls due.

  • Repair visibility

Workshop job-card stages shown to the customer, with push notifications as the work progresses.

  • Branch information

Branches, opening hours and map links, so customers find the right centre.

  • Staff web portal

A web portal for EVS staff to manage customers, vehicles, bookings and app content.

  • Workshop-system integration

Two-way synchronisation with EVS's workshop system, so bookings do not need to be re-entered.

  • Operation

We host the system on Microsoft Azure (UAE North), monitor it, and handle store releases and fixes after launch.

How it works day to day

One booking, end to end.

The path a customer and the workshop follow every time.

  1. Customer signs in

With a mobile number and a one-time code, in Arabic or English.

  2. Adds the car

By scanning the registration card, or by plate, instead of typing the details.

  3. Books a service

Picks a branch, a service type and a free slot.

  4. Workshop receives it

The booking is synchronised into the workshop system with the vehicle and service details filled in.

  5. Customer follows the work

Job-card stages and push notifications show progress; the service booklet records what was done.

Result

What the figures show.

Each point below comes from the launch figures above. Launch-period figures: these numbers cover only the app's first days after release (4 to 18 October 2026), not its current totals.

  • Booking at any hour

Nearly a third of bookings (31%) were made outside working hours, between 6 pm and 6 am, without a call to a service centre.

  • Bookings reach the workshop untouched

All 2,433 bookings passed into the workshop system, so staff did not have to re-enter them.

  • Vehicle details captured from the card

2,563 of the 3,305 cars added were read automatically from the registration card instead of being typed.

  • Fast adoption

3,642 customers joined during the launch period, and 2,415 used the app in the last seven days of it.

  • Arabic-first in practice

1,347 customers use the app in Arabic.

Value added

Who benefits.

  • For EVS customers

Book a service, manage vehicles and follow their service history from the phone, in Arabic or English, at any hour.

  • For service-centre staff

Bookings arrive in the workshop system already filled in, so front-desk time goes to customers, not data entry.

  • For EVS management

One app and one staff portal across the service network, with a booking record for every visit and a single view of how customers use the service.

  • For partner stations

Customers choose a partner station in the same booking flow, so every location in the network receives bookings through one route.

Why this matters for similar companies

If your customers could book from the phone.

  • Service businesses with a counter queue

If booking depends on a phone call, a customer app moves routine requests out of the queue and into the customer's hands.

  • Networks with many branches

One app, one customer record and one booking route keep every branch consistent, whichever one the customer chooses.

  • Companies that already run a workshop or operations system

The app does not replace that system. It integrates with it, so staff keep working where they already work.

  • Arabic-speaking customers

Arabic-first design, including right-to-left layouts, is part of the build from the start.

Technology

What it is built with.

  • Customer apps

Flutter, for iOS and Android from one codebase. Arabic-first with English, including right-to-left layouts.

  • Staff portal

A web application for EVS staff.

  • Integration

Two-way synchronisation with EVS's workshop system.

  • Hosting

Microsoft Azure (UAE North), with Azure monitoring.

FAQ

About this project.

Who is EVS?

EVS (Electric Vehicle Services) is a UAE service network for electric and hybrid vehicles, with its own service centres and partner stations across the UAE.

Where can I get the app?

The EVS Customer Portal is on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. Both links are at the top of this page.

Where do the figures come from, and how recent are they?

From the launch report Digital Cubic prepared for EVS on 18 October 2026, based on the EVS production database and Azure monitoring for 4 to 18 October 2026. They are launch-period figures, not current totals.

Does 99.97% mean the app was up 99.97% of the time?

No. It is the share of 531,241 app requests that were answered without a server error during the launch period, measured by Azure monitoring. It is a request success rate, not an uptime figure.

Did you replace EVS's workshop system?

No. The apps and the staff portal work with the workshop system EVS already used, and synchronise with it in both directions.

Could you build something similar for us?

Yes. We start with a free 30-minute discovery call, then confirm scope, timeline and price in a written proposal before you commit.
